Peck Child Development Center was established in 1972 with a generous donation from the Clyde A. Peck family. We provide an early childhood education for children ages 2 to 10 years old. We are licensed by the State of Iowa for 54 children. Our program is available to all families and full-time fees are based on a sliding fee scale. Our flexible hours allow families to bring their children full-time, part-time, before/after and summer school care year-round. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program which assures you your child will receive nutritional meals and snacks each day.
The center emphasis is based on the concept of "extension of family living". The learning atmosphere is patterned to support family life. We find that a one-to-one, child-to-adult relationship seems to be the most positive for a child. Children will have the opportunity to be with the same teachers throughout the day wich promises a warm, personal relationship between both child/teacher/parent. Your child will develop a sense of family with their classmates, becoming a "family of learners" who support and care for each other.
